R.D. Peoples – For What It’s Worth
Featuring: R.D. Peoples
From the “Super Unknown” to the “Sickest in the Southwest”
From the “Super Unknown” to the “Sickest in the Southwest”:
R.D. Peoples went from a zero following to attaining a formidable online presence for any other new comer. What makes it so much more unique and intriguing from others is how he does it. Everything, EVERYTHING that R.D. Peoples has released, promoted, distributed…all of the vocal production and recording of his tracks, was done by him; even the album artwork. No affiliates, no crew, no big studio or co-sign; he has been very efficient and consistent.
“I just edit things until it looks or sounds good. I mean; I know a little bit of stuff, but vocal performance is my main focus right now.”
Despite his disposition, R.D.’s level of confidence is up just as high as any other. He comes across very self-assured that he’s next up, and at the same time very down to earth about where he stands in the chaos. He believes this next release will be his most successful to date.
His strength is balanced for the most part; the latter in favor of song writing and conceptual consistency. The two new tracks we heard; “Saucy” and “Number 1″, called for encore 3 times. His schizophrenic dynamics are still intact, blanketed with savvy vocabulary, flow, and delivery.
“This is the last of the ‘Thematic’ collection, no more free albums. Next is a small tour, then work on something to sell. What isn’t free will be out of this world…beyond anything. I guarantee it. It feels great completing the ‘Thematic Project’ collection; but feels better knowing I’m just warming up.”
